Where: The Boulder Municipal Building (City Hall, 1777 Broadway, on the S.W. corner of Canyon and Broadway)

When: Saturday, November 8, 2008, from 9am to 3pm

Who: All members of the public, especially those interested in the future of Boulder's Neighborhoods

Blueprint Boulder 2008: In Search of a Common Vision for Blueprint Boulder 2008 will host an open public forum. Blueprint Boulder is a free, privately organized, non-profit, grass-roots event rooted in the questions "How do we create the best Boulder possible?" and "What makes great neighborhoods?" We hope to attract broad public participation in this one-time event.

Blueprint Boulder 2008 will facilitate discussion of good urban and community design in an effort toimprove and protect Boulder's environment and quality of life. In light of unprecedented environmental and economic global challenges, this is a moment of opportunity for us to come together as a community and investigate what we want to be.

Schedule of Events:

9-9:30am Coffee and arrival (downstairs)

9:30-9:45am Welcome and introduction by Blueprint Boulder founder Scott Rodwin (main auditorium upstairs)

9:45-10am "Place We Love" slideshow facilitated by Fenno Hoffman (upstairs)

10:00-10:45am Keynote: "Creating great neighborhoods in the context of the larger City" - Peter Park, Director of Community Planning, City of Denver: How a community can come together to create that vision and the mechanisms for making it real. (upstairs)

10:45-11am Boulder Planning Update by Charles Zucker, Senior Urban Designer, Planning and Development Services, City of Boulder (upstairs)

11-12:45pm Town Hall to discuss the Keynote question in facilitated groups organized by neighborhood. (all spaces)

12:45-1:30pm Complimentary working lunch (downstairs)

1:30-3pm Town Hall United, groups reconvene and discuss results of break-out groups (upstairs)

3-4pm Post-event informal discussion
