Dining in South Boulder (SoBo) is pretty good. There are a half dozen decent restaurants, all within walking distance.Already good, your options just got even better. Introducing Nepali Cuisine.
Tucked away on a side street off Table Mesa drive, the restaurant sits inside an unimposing office building, nestled among accounting firms and other small businesses. As we walked to the door, a white plastic banner flapped in the October breeze, announcing last month's grand opening.
With friends giving it enthusiastic thumbs-up, I was hopeful.
And boy were we glad we went! And I grew up eating Indian food, so you could say I'm well qualified to judge.
We opted for the dinner buffet. Each bite, a delicious morsel from a tantalizing array of freshly prepared spicy dishes. Everything was cooked to perfection. The chai, a perfect compliment to the meal. With very attentive wait staff, even though it was bustling, it was clear that the restaurant was delighted to have our business.
The decor is tasteful and pleasingly simple at Nepali Cuisine. The food? On par with the best Indian food I've ever had. Prices? You'll probably find them easy on your budget.
During our short stay, we noticed many other happy diners. Judging by the smiling faces and chatter between patrons and staff, no doubt word of mouth will spread quick. This restaurant will be wildly successful. Consider it highly recommended.
