How long is your commute?

Original Post
Take a look at the new poll in the right sidebar. This time we're asking, how long is your commute? The last poll was open for quite awhile, but these polls will probably go back towards being on more of a weekly schedule. Expect this one to close next week.

As far as the question goes, its significance is obvious. A person's commute has an impact on his time and money, not to mention the world's resources. For most people, work is the number one factor in choosing a neighborhood, and it's the most common reason that people move. If possible, many people move their business or office closer to their house.

Personally, the longest commute I've ever had was about 23 miles. I started at 6:00am to avoid traffic and reduce the drive to 35 minutes. I hated it. Currently, my commute is about 10 minutes (20-30 by bus and 15 by bike).

FYI, I made some changes to the poll format and visual layout. These blog posts introducing the poll serve as a place for poll discussion. After the poll closes, this same post will be updated and reposted with the results.
