Is This Boulder's Future?

A client sent me this video about what's happening in the San Francisco Bay Area housing market.   It's an eye opener.

Is this Boulder's future?  Let's hope not.

  1. I saw Million Dollar Shack a few weeks ago and it is quite depressing. If you didn't buy into Silicon Valley at least 10 years ago, and you don't have an IPO under your belt, you're doomed to long, gnarly commutes across the Bay. That has a huge impact on lifestyle, on families, on health, on communities. No to mention on the planet. Is Boulder going that way, at least in terms of house prices? It'll take a decade or so to become really obvious, as today's home owners adjust to buying and selling within the city. But ultimately Boulder will become the Palo Alto of the West - rich, exclusive, crowded and with not a school teacher, firefighter or ordinary Joe living within 10 miles of its borders.
