A Few Thoughts on The Protests

After a heart-felt team meeting today, I want to share a few thoughts.

House Einstein is an inclusive company. We are grateful to have an opportunity to serve clients and work with colleagues of all races, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations, gender identities, and socio-economic status. House Einstein welcomes and celebrates diversity.

We were deeply horrified and outraged by the murder of George Floyd, and many other tragic deaths. We feel compassion for those affected by the senseless violence, rampant property destruction, and collective loss of safety that have affected cities across the country, including Denver.

Injustice and oppression have a long, painful history in our country. Americans are also dealing with high stress, quarantine, and widespread job losses from the virus pandemic. These are not easy times.

We acknowledge our privilege to live in communities that allow us the freedom to do our work and live peacefully with our neighbors. If nothing else, those with privilege should be clear about their values and make a stand.

We strongly support the protesters. The right to peaceful assembly is the very first amendment of the US Constitution. We do not support anarchy, looting, and violence. We do not support the use of force against peaceful demonstrators or the media.

We should note that our clientele includes numerous members of law enforcement and the military. We respect the work they do to serve our communities and our country. Right now, that isn't an easy job. We also appreciate the leaders of law enforcement who have actively supported and joined the protesters in peaceful marches. Their actions to de-escalate will save lives, today and into the future.

At House Einstein, we will continue to focus on our work and serve the needs of our clients. We are also deeply present to and compassionate towards those who are suffering, those who are protesting, and those who are serving our community.

Thank you for listening.
