The Marshall Fire - Ways You Can Help and Resources

The Marshall Fire is one of the most devastating in Colorado history. At House Einstein, our thoughts are with those who lost their homes in Superior and Louisville, including several of our clients and friends. We can't imagine what you've been through.

The following resources may be valuable to those who are currently displaced:

1. This Facebook Group has been setup to help coordinate housing.

2. The Boulder Longmont Realtor Association has established this page to announce available rentals.

3.  AirBnb has a system to help those offering or seeking short-term housing in the aftermath of a disaster.

Once housing has been secured for the victims, keep in mind that additional donations will be needed.  Rental houses don't usually come furnished. Furniture and other household items will become invaluable in the weeks and months. Please also consider donating essentials like sheets and towels, pots and pans, and clothing.  Offering direct help to victims is also deeply appreciated - like restaurant gift certificates, grocery runs, or running errands.  Finally, financial donations to legitimate non-profits that fund or directly support recovery efforts will help. If you're considering a financial donation, we recommend the Boulder Community Foundation

In the weeks and months that follow, don't forget to check-in with those that have lost their homes. The psychological impact will be long-lasting. Kindness goes a long way.

Our community will recover in the long-run, but for now there's a lot of work to do. There are many, many ways you can help. Let's get to work, Boulder.
