My take: After many decades of tighter and tighter restrictions, expect Council to soon loosen the regulatory framework that governs what is possible on land within the City limits. Will it go as far as Portland and toss all zoning out the window? Probably not, but more density is likely.

My take? The market impact was immediate as buyers anticipated more demand and accelerated their plans. Some sellers also accelerated their plans. Meanwhile, the community impact will be felt for a long time. There are still so many unanswered questions.
I Bought a House With Another Single Mom... LINK
My take? We've seen an increasing number of buyers seeking multigenerational housing. Typically it comes in the form of adult children looking to acquire a property that would also provide comfortable housing for their parents in a detached living unit. In other words, a family compound or an detached accessory dwelling unit. Given the giant wave of Boomers who are looking at retirement and downsizing options, demand for multigenerational housing should continue to increase for many years.
Gas Stoves are Bad for Climate - LINK
My take? It's only a matter of time before gas appliances are banned, and given our city's emission reduction goals, Boulder will likely be an early mover. As it happens, my family recently made the switch to induction and noticed a surprising improvement in indoor air quality. Induction is also far more precise than gas and heats food much, much faster. If you can swing it, induction is far better than cooking with gas.
